I did it!!!

Well, I sent the email. I'm not sure what kind of response it will get but hey, you never know if you don't try. So I did it. Updates on that tomorrow.

Also, on my way now to pick up the Aerosmith tickets I won on the radio! Still don't know who I'm going to take to that but we shall see! It will be some really good music!

Pray for me and the fact that I will be crossing the city twice (hopefully!) During rush hour! And please if you are driving watch out for the white SUV behind you blasting New Kids on the Block!

Cake!

You know the wierd thing about hospitals.....we always have food. Today courtesy of the Burn Center we have lots of cake..... Or you can go to the linen conference across the hall and learn how to do laundry so well that a single peice of cloth can be used dozens of times and come in contact with dozens of different germs. Also, they have apples.

Mental Note........

As much as I H-E-A-R-T Kennywood, and I truly do, never let me refer to getting married there as my "destination wedding." I would marry a Cleveland Brown before I did that!

Nervous

I'm getting very nervous right now. I have some downtime from the work that normally flows through the halls of this healthcare facility so I am doing something I've never done before.

I am taking a new idea to my supervisor, happily only through email face-to-face would not be so easy. I've never done this and I'm not very sure if it is stepping over my bounds in any way but I guess the only way to find out is to try. I really don't know if this is any of my business but I have to at least make an attempt because otherwise someone else might think of the idea and if they get the credit for it, I would be upset.

So, that is my goal. By the end of the day I will send that email and hope that there is some sort of positive feedback in the morning. Even if it is only a "good idea....but No."

:)

Shhh! Don't tell...

Apparently the new job has not discovered blocking anything that includes the word "blog" from our list of things we are not allowed to view. Woo Hoo!

I think I'm finally starting to settle into this whole desk job thing. It includes a good bit of time sitting at a desk and typing.....Typing work....Typing emails.....Typing fun emails.....Blogging....Texting..... That's my job. I still miss my days of running around the ED and flirting with medics! Hopefully we can get back to that stage because I'm hoping the city medics might not be as scary as the locals. However, after watching a few episodes of "Rescue Me" I'm starting to think that might not be the case.

So lets see how long I can get away with blogging at work.....
